Triangle Happy Birthday

Winter is the time for lots of family birthdays and anniversaries. I got some of the Hero Arts Shadow Inks in the mini cubes and played with them on this card.

The triangle background was created using the Mama Elephant Trifecta set. I used the Hero Arts Orange Soda, Butter Bar and Pale Tomato for the color, inking the stamp roughly in thirds, each third with a different color.

The sentiment is from the Paper Smooches Salutations set.  I hand cut the banner for the sentiment on white cardstock, matting it with Stampin' Up Peach Parfait (retired). The triangle background was also matted with the Peach Parfait. 

To finish off the sentiment banner, I add three enamel dots from My Mind's Eye Chalk Studio 2.

Another anniversary card that I like so well I will re-create it for OWH. I started with the My Favorite Things Retro Squares Die.

The colors are all Stampin' Up cardstock, Tempting Turquoise, Gumball Green, Crushed Curry, Tangerine Tango and Real Red.

In assembly, I only used some of the inside squares from the die and reattached them using dimensional adhesive. 

The sentiment stamp is from Paper Smooches Salutations set. It is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

I really like the clean and simple look of this card!!

A while back, I posted the digi from The Greeting Farm - Daniel - after I had been coloring and experimenting with different colors for hair.

I finally got around to making cards with the image:

The plain cardstock is Stampin' Up (Elegant Eggplant and Gumball Green). The patterned paper is from a Studio Calico 6x6 pad.

The sentiment is from Paper Smooches Bold Buzzwords, stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I edged the outside of the sentiment cardstock with the YG25 marker to make it stand out against the background. Daniel was colored with Copic Markers in the following colors:

It was kind of fun working outside my normal comfort zone - blue hair can be fun!!

Stretch You Stamps Class Day 4 - again

This is the second card I made.  I used 4 of the stamps from the Paper Smooches set.  I used copper embossing powder that I have had for forever!
